CSU's Graduate Diploma of Clinical Practice (Paramedic) prepares you to work in emergency ambulance and out-of-hospital healthcare environments in regional, remote and urban settings.
Entry Requirements
For entry to this course students must hold a bachelors degree in nursing (or equivalent) and be registered to practice. Some experience in the emergency health field is recommended. Intending students should also be aware that in order to undertake the practicum subjects they will be required to comply with the risk management policies and procedures of the host ambulance authority. Students must be able to attend a 5 day residential school associated with the subject CLS412 Introduction to Internship.  Applicants should submit transcripts and verified copies of awards from prior study, as well as a CV outlining their experience in the emergency health field.

CSU's Graduate Diploma of Midwifery is offered online to registered nurses and hospital qualified registered midwives wanting to upgrade their qualifications and advance their careers.
Entry Requirements
Students entering this course will need to meet the following criteria: - AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse - Contract with an approved, participating hospital as a student midwife for the duration of the courseApplication processRegistered nurses wishing to undertake this course to become registered midwives must have employment as a midwifery student in one of CSU's partnering maternity services. Application processes differ depending on where you wish to undertake your midwifery practice placement. If you wish to be employed as a midwifery student in a NSW public hospital, you must apply via the NSW Health website in the year prior to which you wish to enrol. The application process is through MidStART and information is available online. The MidStART information book is available online each year. Follow the instructions to select both the maternity service (public hospital) where you wish to undertake your midwifery practice, and indicate that you wish to study through CSU. Should you wish to undertake your midwifery practice in a private or interstate hospital, you need to contact the midwifery facilitator in that unit.
