Very good compared to information from other graduates across industry.
Graduate, Port Hedland - 13 Feb 2019
Bonuses are standard across the business and are fair without being extravagant.
Graduate, Roxby Downs - 11 Feb 2019
We are well rewarded for the work we put in
Graduate, Dysart - 11 Feb 2019
The salary is good and the bonuses are fair.
Graduate, Roxby Downs - 11 Feb 2019
The pay is very generous for the graduate program, likely to entice the best graduates and compensate for the rural location.
Graduate, Roxby Downs - 11 Feb 2019
Graduate, Moranbah - 11 Feb 2019
It is a good salary compared to city roles. I think however based on the location and the salaries that other companies provide their grads (Woodside in oil and gas pay approximately the same as we get paid, but they get to live in the city), BHP should provide a slightly more competitive salary. Overall it is very good though.
Graduate, Moranbah/ Dysart (site based at Peak Downs Mine) - 11 Feb 2019
Very generous base salary compared to other companies. My big grievance is that functional roles (eg. HSE) receive significantly smaller site allowance that operations. Notional bonus target of 10% of base salary is good.
Graduate, Moranbah - 11 Feb 2019
For entry level positions (such as grads) they don't tailor the salary offered to consider experience, etc. This means that a 24yr old grad with no experience earns the same as a 30yr old grad who has experience in the field.
Graduate, Mine Site (Mackay/Moranbah) - 09 Feb 2019
Remuneration is excellent, the pay raise after the first year was rewarding and the bonus/share scheme is second to none.
Graduate, Perth / Port Hedland - 08 Feb 2019
The bonuses are fair and wage reviews are held every year. Rises are offered on a performance basis which I agree is fair. Recently, our positions have been regulated to grades, each grade is associated with a specific wage, I also think that is fair.
